Class 01 Courses

Upon successful completion of this course, you will have acquired the knowledge and skill to safely and efficiently operate a tractor / trailer vehicle and earn your Class 01 Drivers License. Your training will meet and exceed industry standards.

Class 01 Basic

This training package is designed to meet the needs of the driver that has previously had some driver training. This package provides 24 Hours of Classroom Theory; 23 hours of 1 on 1 "in the truck" (3 of those hours for the road test at ICBC Driver Services).

Class 01 Extended:

This course provides 24 Hours of Classroom Theory and 33 Hours of 1 on 1 "in-truck" instructional time (3 of those hours for the Road Test at ICBC Driver Services).

Class 01 Advanced:

This course provides 24 Hours of Classroom Theory, followed by 43 Hours of 1 on 1 "in-truck" instructional times (3 of those hours for the Road Test at ICBC Driver Services).

Class 01 Upgrade:

This package is designed for those who already hold their Class 03 Driver's License and want to upgrade to a Class 01 license. The course offers 20 Hours of 1 on 1 "in-truck" instructional time (3 of those hours for the Road Test at ICBC Driver Services). (No Classroom Theory)

Additional Costs:

Once the course requirements are concluded, there remains a Quality Knowledge Exam (within 30 day limit) at a Services BC Center. If the exam is not completed within the time limitation the whole course may have to be repeated

Prerequisites

• Minimum Age: 19 years
  
  
• Driver’s Abstract and Prescreening
  
  
• Obtained by verbal request at a BC Access Center at no charge. You must be prescreened by ICBC before you can write your Learner’s License. Our classroom theory helps you obtain your learner’s license.
  
  
• Study the “Driving Commercial Vehicles” manual which is available at your local ICBC Driver Services Center or Services BC Center Office at no charge.
  
  
• Licensing requires a knowledge exam and there will be a $ 15.00 fee.
